My First Video
When I initially purchased Sony Vegas in the late 90s, it was for its multi-track audio capabilities. After all, I was a musician more interested in recording than doing video editing.
However, I did play around with some of the video features primarily the crop/pan tool. After some test experiments to see what would happen, I conceived of the idea of trying to create a short video to go along with a piece of music that I had composed at the time. The music had an outer space feel to me.
I went looking for space photos on the internet finding a variety. I played around with them creating this, my first completed video entitled Space.
The Ron Judd Show Theme
In late 2012, I answered an ad from a local TV producer was looking for a composer to write theme and cue music for a cable show he was developing. That is how I met Ron Judd which led to composing my first TV show theme.
Ron told me the idea of the show and that he was looking for a 50s sitcom style theme. I grew up in the 60s but saw most of those 50s sitcoms during the summers when they were run in sydication on local stations Many of the shows like I love Lucy and Danny Thomas show had big band styled theme songs which became the model for the theme I developed for Ron.
